Overview

South West based charitable housing association BCHA was founded over 50 years ago with a continuing mission to meet housing need and end homelessness. We aim to achieve this through the building and provision of affordable and secure homes, and by supporting individuals to take control and lead independent, fulfilled lives. Position:

Join a dedicated team supporting people experiencing homelessness and complex, vulnerable situations. This is a chance to make a real difference in people’s lives. In this role, you will provide practical support and case management to individuals with multiple and complex needs, following The Plymouth Alliance (TPA) principles. Ideally, you’ll have experience working with people who are homeless or socially excluded and a good understanding of safeguarding. Most importantly, you’ll bring energy, empathy, and a trauma-informed approach to support those who need it most.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with individuals experiencing homelessness to provide tailored support and guidance
  • Help customers achieve their goals and build independence
  • Contribute to a positive team environment with a calm, personable approach
  • Handle challenging situations professionally while maintaining respect and empathy

Other information:

To join a rolling 4 week rota, shifts are a mixture of 07:45-4pm, 2pm-10pm, Weekend shifts 8am-10pm. Flexibility and hours can be agreed for the right person. We require candidates who can be flexible to swapping shifts and covering gaps where necessary.
