We’re looking for a Housing Sustainment Advisor to work closely with Housing Officers and support teams to deliver an excellent Intensive Housing Management (IHM) service. This is a community-based role, working across all areas of Plymouth, supporting residents to sustain their accommodation, live independently, and move forward with confidence.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Regular home visits to review accommodation, assess progress, and agree next steps
  • Guiding residents on maintaining safe, clean, well-kept homes
  • Coordinating repairs, contractor access, and essential services
  • Supporting budgeting, income maximisation, and charity applications
  • Helping customers bid for social housing and liaise with landlords and providers
  • Carrying out needs and risk assessments to ensure appropriate support is in place
  • Identifying safeguarding concerns and coordinating appropriate referrals
  • Working collaboratively with Housing Officers, social care, mental health teams, health services, and external agencies
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to case discussions and reviews
