Overview

Operational Manager – Modern Day Slavery (£33,832.50 – £34,788.00 per annum) • 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday • Full-Time, Permanent

Location: BCHA, Bournemouth, England, United Kingdom. The post holder can be based in Dorset, Wiltshire, or Devon and will travel regularly across all three counties.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of specialist support workers.
  • Ensure the survivor’s voice is always at the heart of the work.
  • Oversee the delivery of safe, trauma-informed, and empowering support for those referred through the Home Office’s National Referral Mechanism.

Additional context: The role leads the Liberty Project, which provides vital support to survivors of modern slavery through safehouse accommodation and outreach across three counties.

  • Support a team to meet contractual service requirements.
  • Listen to and build trust with survivors.
  • Work with complex needs, challenging behaviours and manage presenting risks.
  • Be an advocate on behalf of survivors and build relationships with external agencies.

  • Be self-motivated, proactive, resilient, empathetic and non-judgemental.
