Denley House in Bournemouth aims to provide a better quality of life for alcohol dependent adults. Our target group are alcohol dependent drinkers aged 55 years plus, who have many safeguarding challenges. These individuals all have care packages which we have support with external agencies. All customers are referred through social services, the Community Mental Health Team, Learning Development and street homeless services. Once we receive a social services assessment, we risk assess the potential customer then invite for an interview. A package of care is agreed and put in place by a social worker prior to the customer moving in.
We’re looking for a proactive and organised individual to support the Senior Practitioner in the effective delivery of our service, playing a key role in the day-to-day operational management and continuous improvement of support provision. In this varied role, you’ll help ensure the service runs smoothly, supporting both colleagues and customers while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and engagement. You’ll also step in to deputise for the Senior Practitioner when needed, providing leadership and continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operational management of the service
- Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing management of the team
- Deputise for the Senior Practitioner / Service Manager at meetings and key reviews
- Lead group practice reviews to support team development and performance
- Contribute to and support internal quality audits
- Deputise in risk management and safeguarding reviews when required
- Work alongside the Senior Practitioner to support service improvements and development
- Ensure customers are fully engaged in a comprehensive, holistic needs assessment and support planning process, including regular monitoring and reviews

Other Information
Monday - Friday role with a mixture of different shifts on a 5 week rolling rota. You will need to be able to work 07:30am - 3:30pm, 10am - 6pm and 2pm - 10pm. We are looking for someone who can work flexibly and is open to working some weekends to help cover the 24/7 rota.
