An exciting position for Digital Media Officer has arisen. There is one vacant post and it is open to either a PC/DC or police staff. In this role, the successful candidate will support the Eastern Region Undercover Unit in the production, management, editing, and manipulation of still and moving digital images for use in covert operations, knowing that such material is likely to be the subject of intense scrutiny.
You will also be required:
- To work at all times in accordance with National policy and guidelines.
- To provide advice and guidance on digital and AI imagery and emerging trends.
- To have experience and knowledge of online communication methods and social media platforms and their functionality with the use of imagery.
- To work in consultation with the unit technical officer to provide technical and digital solutions for online use of imagery.
- To mentor, assist and advise other members of staff in the use of imagery.

Vetting: Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo Management Vetting (5 years residency criteria) and Security Clearance (5 years residency criteria) or Development Vetting, if applicable, before taking up the post. Please be aware the Police Corporate Vetting Unit will undertake security vetting on successful candidates, their family and others that live at their home address, which will include financial checks.
