About the role: Join the BCG Regional Maintenance Team and make a significant contribution to the quality of care within our care homes. As a Regional Joiner, you’ll be a key member of the team responsible for delivering refurbishment and maintenance projects across a portfolio of care homes across Scotland. You’ll focus on ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and comply with care home regulations and quality standards. The role involves managing renovations and refurbishments, ensuring minimal disruption to residents and staff while maintaining operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering refurbishment and renovation projects across assigned care homes.
- Ensuring all work complies with legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Minimising disruption to residents, staff, and daily care operations during refurbishment activities.
- Maintaining the company’s quality standards on all completed work.
- Staying updated on relevant regulations affecting care homes, ensuring all projects comply with these requirements.
About you: We’re looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in joinery, ideally within refurbishment, construction, or facilities management.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- A practical understanding of care home operations and the challenges they face in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and functional environment.
- Experience within the healthcare industry, construction sector or facilities management would be advantageous.
You’ll be proactive, hands-on, and able to work independently while ensuring that operational needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
