About the role: We are seeking a reliable and motivated General Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will support the maintenance and refurbishment of all our residential homes, ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard. The role will involve travelling to each site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively as part of a maintenance team to deliver high-quality property maintenance services.
  • Carry out general grounds maintenance and external upkeep.
  • Undertake a variety of maintenance tasks, including decorating, basic plumbing, joinery, and general repairs.
  • Complete waste removal and site clearance activities in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Transport and distribute materials, tools, and equipment to various sites as required.
  • Support property refurbishment and improvement projects, ensuring work is completed to agreed standards and timescales.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and health and safety legislation.
  • Report maintenance issues and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure timely completion of tasks.

About you:

Previous experience in a general maintenance, facilities, or property maintenance role. We are looking for practical skills across a range of trades, including decorating, basic plumbing, joinery, and general repairs. You will have the ability to work independently whilst being a great team player. Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Be committed to delivering a high standard of workmanship and customer service. Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and a Full UK driving licence is essential.
