Corporate Tech and Venture Capital Barrister (Equity Stock Salary)
BCEJ is developing solar, wind, biodegradation, drone and mobile banking technologies. We urgently need a Corporate Tech and Venture Capital Barrister to support these projects, secure venture capital, manage IP, negotiate deals and ensure compliance with UK law.
Responsibilities
Provide legal support for corporate, venture capital, and IP matters related to the company's technology initiatives.
Secure venture capital funding, draft and negotiate investment agreements, advising on deal structures.
Apply for patents, trademarks and copyright protection for concepts, prototypes and finished products.
Advise on and manage mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other corporate transactions worldwide.
Conduct due diligence, prepare and manage data rooms, and support regulatory compliance.
Represent the company in legal proceedings and liaise with external counsel.
Develop and update legal policies, templates and training materials for the corporate legal team.
Collaborate with product, engineering and operations to review product designs and risk assessments.
Qualifications
UK‑qualified barrister with at least 1–2 years post‑qualification experience.
Full licence to practise law in the UK and legal residence capable of working in the UK.
Bachelor’s degree in law.
Strong knowledge of English contract, company and intellectual property law.
Experience with venture capital agreements, IP filing and corporate transactions.
Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
