Role Overview
We urgently need a Corporate Tech and Venture Capital Barrister to join our legal team and support all technical projects—including solar, wind, drone, biodesign, and mobile‑banking platforms—from inception to market launch. You will provide legal counsel on corporate matters, IP protection, financing, compliance, and risk management while ensuring alignment with UK laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure venture‑capital funding and advise on capital‑raising structures.
- Apply for patents, trademarks, and copyrights for prototype and production models.
- Negotiate, draft, and review corporate agreements—shareholder, joint‑venture, sale‑and‑purchase, and confidentiality documents.
- Conduct due‑diligence, manage data rooms, and oversee disclosure processes.
- Provide legal advice on all company projects, ensuring compliance and mitigating exposure to regulatory risk.
- Represent the company in all legal proceedings and manage third‑party relationships.
- Draft and monitor contract policies, risk‑management frameworks, and corporate governance documents.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Business Content Regulatory Affairs; Corporate and the Company Secretariat.
