About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Event Manager to join our Strategic Meetings Management team supporting a client dedicated team in the financial investment sector. You will have expertise in end-to-end event delivery in high touch in-person events in both the UK and Overseas. You are at ease guiding your stakeholders, working independently and calling on your wider team to collaborate with as well as mentoring members of the team. You are comfortable in sourcing/negotiating/contracting, budget management (including reconciliation), delegate communication/registration and event planning. You thrive on juggling multiple projects, meeting and exceeding expectations, and get great satisfaction from seeing it all come together onsite!

As a Senior Event Manager, you will:

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of event projects assigned to you
  • Engage, contract and supervise external suppliers, building and maintaining effective relationships with your vendors/suppliers on behalf of the client
  • Consult with stakeholders to gather all requirements to deliver the right event solution to meet their objectives
  • Work with the client’s internal events team to organise and deliver face-to-face, virtual and hybrid meetings and events
  • Consistently apply and demonstrate our expertise to our clients
  • Take financial responsibility for the event budget – from budget preparation to final reconciliation

You’re good at:

  • Communication – listening, written and verbal – able to interpret our client’s objectives to be delivered into all aspects of their event
  • Instilling confidence in your clients that we are experts in our field
  • Proven end-to-end worldwide event delivery experience
  • Proven meeting technology and delegate registration knowledge and expertise
  • Excellent attention to detail and budgeting management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Reacting, thinking on your feet, offering solutions, and working on multiple projects and timelines at once
  • Ability to travel regularly in the UK and Overseas

You might also have:

  • Experience delivering events for the financial/media/technology industry
  • Experience working in a client corporate environment
  • Virtual meeting platform and event mobile app experience
  • Event Management degree

You should know:

  • Role is UK Hybrid based , with 1 day per week in the client’s London office
  • You must have the ability to travel within the UK and Overseas, which may include weekends
  • You must have the right to work in the UK
