As a Venue Sourcing Consultant, you'll join our central London team. In this role, you become the primary point of contact for clients seeking the perfect venues for their meetings and events. You'll navigate a diverse landscape of client accounts and industry sectors, applying your expertise to tailor venue selections that transform ordinary meetings into memorable experiences.

A unique aspect of this position includes participating in FAM (Familiarisation) trips, designed to keep you informed about the latest venue openings, recent refurbishments, and the coolest spots around. These experiences equip you with the knowledge and insight needed to recommend the best options to our clients, ensuring that we always deliver informed suggestions that meet our clients' needs and exceed expectations.

As a Venue Find Consultant, you will:

  • Deliver an innovative and high-quality venue find service that consistently goes beyond our clients’ expectations, covering all categories of meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions.
  • Understand and meet or exceed relevant customer service levels, becoming proficient in all necessary systems and processes to meet customer requirements.
  • Become fully conversant with the BCD Venue Search booking platform, operating in line with the Venue Search Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Apply and demonstrate extensive venue and destination knowledge to all customers, enhancing their decision‑making process.
  • Continually expand your knowledge of venues and destinations by building positive relationships with key suppliers, attending familiarisation visits, destination workshops, and webinars.
  • Collaborate with the BCD Meetings & Events finance team to ensure all invoicing and financial matters are communicated to the client in a proactive and efficient manner.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, consistently surpassing expectations with your expertise and attention to detail.
  • Excel in communication, with outstanding skills in both written and verbal forms, maintaining a positive, calm, and cooperative demeanor in all interactions.
  • Confidently engage with individuals at all levels, adept at connecting through face‑to‑face discussions, as well as via telephone and email.
  • Be proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, demonstrating skill in managing, inputting, and extracting data from various databases.
  • Employ a flexible and proactive approach to your work, adeptly handling multiple projects and priorities while remaining resilient and adaptable under pressure.

You might also have:

  • Knowledge of meetings & events venues in the UK/overseas.
  • Venue booking system experience.
  • Proven negotiating and contracting experience with external suppliers.

This role is hybrid based with 3 days a week in our London office and 2 days working remotely; the office is open 5 days a week if you prefer to go into an office. The shift patterns for venue search are 9‑5:30, 8:30‑5, or 9:30‑6 on a rotate basis, including a lunch break. You may be required to travel to attend company meetings/events or familiarisation trips in the UK or overseas.
