We are looking for a Team Lead, Delegate Management for a 12-Month Fixed Term Contract. In this client‑facing role, you will lead a small operational team and support the successful delivery of event projects for multiple clients in the UK and overseas. As an integral part of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard, within scope, on budget, and in line with client expectations. You will act as a senior operational contact for designated clients, support financial reporting, and oversee the day‑to‑day delivery of delegate management services. You may also directly manage client projects, including onsite event delivery when required. You will have strong experience in the events industry, ideally within delegate management, and be confident managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. You will be comfortable leading others, building strong client relationships, and working collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a small operational team to deliver client projects successfully and to a high standard.
  • Act as the senior operational contact for designated clients, managing escalations and supporting strong client relationships.
  • Oversee project delivery to ensure work stays within scope, with any changes managed appropriately.
  • Support financial management across projects, including budgets, profitability, payment schedules, and KPI reporting.
  • Manage assigned client projects from end to end, including onsite delivery in the UK and overseas when required.
  • Build strong client relationships and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop team members to create a high‑performing team.
  • Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and changing priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Work confidently with budgets, costs, and numerical data.
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.

Additional Skills / Experiences

  • Experience using registration platforms and event technology systems.
  • Knowledge of BCD M&E products and services.
  • Previous experience supporting client pitches, proposals, or negotiations.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • This is a 12-Month Fixed Term Contract.
  • This is a hybrid role that requires 2 days a week in our BCD Fleet office.
  • Our standard working hours are 9:00 – 17:30 with an hour break.
  • You must have the right to work in the UK.
  • You must have the ability and want to travel in the UK and overseas if required.
