We are expanding our team and are looking for aEvent Project Manager. You will be part of an established global client dedicated team in the financial sector and be responsible for external venue and supplier sourcing across EMEA to support our clients event programmes. You will specialise in small / medium sized EMEA programmes and act as an advisor to consult client stakeholder\’s responsible for the event execution.

You will have end to end event delivery expertise which will include sourcing, negotiating, contracting, programme planning and on-site event management (when required), budget management and final reconciliation. You will work on a variety of programmes simultaneously and serves as key liaison between client stakeholder’s and venue(s)/supplier(s). You are comfortable in managing external vendors including contract management and are confident with managing complex administrative processes. You thrive on working to key project milestones and not afraid to question or bring your ideas and solutions to the table.

As an Event Project Manager, you will:

  • Consult with stakeholders to gather all requirements to deliver the right event solution to meet their objectives
  • To consistently apply and demonstrate our event expertise to our clients
  • Manage external vendors and suppliers – for sourcing, negotiating, contracting and event delivery
  • Financial responsibility of the event budget – from budget preparation to final reconciliation
  • Negotiate rates, terms, and conditions on our client’s behalf – maximise spend to drive savings but not compromise on quality
  • Prepare and manage all event documentation – contract risk assessments, event schedules, compliance documentations, running orders, post event file checklists (where required)
  • On request provide occasional planning and execution of a range of events in the UK and Overseas
  • Communication – listening, written and verbal – able to interpret our client’s objectives to be delivered into all aspects of their event
  • Ability to instil confidence in your clients that we are experts in our field
  • Proven end to end UK and overseas event delivery experience on a variety type of events
  • Proven Meeting Technology and Delegate registration knowledge and expertise – Cvent is advantageous
  • Ability to manage with both internal and external suppliers in a sourcing, negotiating and contracting capacity
  • Excellent attention to detail and budgeting management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to react, think on your feet, offer solutions, work on multiple projects and timelines at once
  • Willing to travel in the UK and overseas on occasion

You might also have:

  • Experience in planning events for the financial sector

You should know:

  • This is a hybrid role that requires 1 day a week in our Fleet office
  • There is also 1-2 visits a month to our clients London office – travel expenses would be reimbursed
  • Our standard working hours are 9:00am – 5:30pm with an hour break
