We are looking for a Contract Specialist for up to 12 months. In this role you will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating the customer’s individual global program hotel and venue contract agreements and addendum, as well as master service agreements (MSA) to ensure both commercial and legal terms are compliant and mitigate risk for the firm.
You will work on a dedicated customer account, the customer has an extensive book of work, including annual meetings that are large and complex by nature and cover the USA, Europe, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific regions. Do you have administrative skills and superior attention to detail?

As a Contract Specialist , you will:
- Work closely with the clients meetings and events team, senior global operations manager and regional sourcing team leads to improve efficiencies and initiatives for contracting best practices.
- Work directly with the global sourcing team members to provide proactive consultative, strategic support with program contracts, addenda, and MSA.
- Manage contracting process, including proofreading for accuracy, careful review, and negotiation of both commercial and legal T&C’s for hotel and venue contracts, Addendum & MSA, in accordance with established standards and best practices.
- Liaise with hotel sales teams, national sales office/global sales offices, and hotel legal and insurance teams over contract and addendum T’s and C’s in order to negotiate fair and reasonable terms and conditions for the customer.
- Complete a contract checklist handover form template highlighting any T&C’s that are non-compliant and ready for the customer’s M&E contract leads to review and submit for signature.
- Proven experience of managing contracts from review, through negotiation to execution; either as the signatory, or on behalf of a client of yours.
- Extensive knowledge of the Meeting & Events industry; to include the sourcing/managing of global events and a good understanding of industry terminology.
- Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines, even when doing so is difficult.
- The tenacity & motivation to achieve the best outcome, even when tight timelines and multiple priorities make it harder to do so.
- The ability to build & maintain senior stakeholder relationships; always communicating clearly, concisely & honestly.
You might also have:
- A legal background, either by way of education and/or working experience
- All of the above, but not within the Meetings & Events industry
You should know:
- This a fixed term contract for up to 12 Months
- This role can be fully remote in the UK or US working core business hours (Monday – Friday) of 37.5 hours a week in the UK and 40 hours a week in the US

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Contracts Specialist – Fixed Term Contract is between $46,500 – $75,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
