About the role: We are looking for a Venue Find Administrator to join our dynamic team in our Derby office. In this role, you will act as the primary customer contact for our incoming venue sourcing and meeting requests and this role is to work on an array of client accounts in a variety of industry sectors. As a Venue Find Administrator, you will:
- Deliver an innovative, quality, venue find service that consistently exceeds clients' expectations encompassing all meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions categories.
- Ensure relevant customer service levels are understood and consistently met or exceeded and to be suitably conversant in all relevant systems and processes in line with customer requirements.
- Be fully conversant with the BCD Venue Search booking platform and work in accordance with the Venue Search Standard Operating Procedure.
- Consistently apply and demonstrate venue and destination knowledge to all customers.
- Continually develop excellent venue destination knowledge through building positive relationships with key supplier contacts, attending familiarisation visits, destination workshops and webinars.
- Work with the BCD Meeting & Events finance team to ensure that all invoicing and financial matters are delivered to the client in a proactive and efficient manner.
You are good at:
- Proven customer service experience.
- Excellent communication skills along with a calm, positive and collaborative approach.
- Comfortable dealing with people at all levels both face to face and by telephone/email.
- MS Office skills including Excel; you will also have experience of entering and extracting data from databases.
- Flexible and proactive approach to work, able to juggle multiple priorities and projects with resilience under pressure with an ability and willingness to adapt to change.
You might also have:
- Knowledge of meetings & events venues in the UK/overseas.
- Venue booking system experience.
- Proven negotiating and contracting experience with external suppliers.

You should know:
- This role is Hybrid working in our Derby office with some remote working.
- The shift patterns for venue search are 9-5:30, 8:30-5 or 9:30-6 on a rotate basis, with an hours lunch break.
- You may be required to travel to attend company meetings/events or familiarisation trips in the UK or Overseas.
