About the role:
We are looking for a Senior Event Project Consultant (Accommodation Contracting) to join our growing Delegate Management project team.
You will be responsible for engaging when sourcing and formal contracting is required, reviewing all aspects of the agreement ensuring compliance is met. You will ensure first-class event delivery is met in a structured and timely manner and lead specific housing-related projects. One minute you could be looking after bookings for 11,000 people in Toronto and next you could be looking after 500 bookings in Berlin.
You have great communication with clients and enjoy meeting and exceeding their expectations. You have the ability to take initiative, work under pressure, adapt to ever-changing circumstances, as well as demonstrating a high level of comfort and accuracy with figures and numerical data. You will also have the ability and want to support with onsite events across the UK and overseas.
As a Senior Event Project Consultant, you will:
- Act as Lead in the smooth delivery of hotel project deliverables, ensuring client expectations are met.
- Review all aspects of agreement, ensuring compliance is met in accordance with stated policies.
- Liaise on contract escalations between client and vendor.
- Facilitate the solicitation of signatures post-negotiation in the event of a signed contract.
- Provide regular project reporting to the client on a daily basis.
- Have an understanding of group hotel accommodation/reservations and utilize experience for contracting.
- Create, oversee, and implement project plans.
- Research, recommend, negotiate, and contract appropriate accommodation.
- Be client-facing.
- Problem solve and communicate information to internal and external stakeholders including clients and suppliers.
- Mentor and support new recruits as requested.
- Have the ability and want to travel onsite as required to support events (both in the UK and overseas).
You\’re good at:
- Managing contracts from review, through negotiation to execution; either as the signatory, or on behalf of a client.
- Demonstrating hotel front office or reservations experience.
- Showcasing your client and delegate facing experience.
- Demonstrating a high level of comfort and accuracy with figures and evaluating numerical data with experience of basic IT programs.
- Communicating with a calm, proactive, and collaborative approach.
- Juggling multiple priorities, projects, and tight deadlines.
