In this position, you will conduct discovery and workshop sessions with prospective mid-market travel management contract clients. This position is responsible for obtaining new, profitable corporate travel management accounts. Our agreements and service offerings are tailor-made and are the product of a unique consultative process involving collaboration with our talented and diverse internal and external partners over a multi-month sales cycle. About ten percent of your potential clients will come from provided lead sources, while the remaining prospects will come from your marketing, sourcing, and relationship building.
As a Regional Sales Manager, United Kingdom, you will
- Enhance BCD Travel’s portfolio by supporting new business development
- Create strategic business plans for the acquisition of new business opportunities
- Establish and maintain relationships with key prospects and existing client decision-makers at all levels within the client organization
- Document sales reports and make recommendations to help meet client objectives
- Negotiate all client contract terms consistent with company approval processes and commercial policy
- Oversee the implementation of new business, working closely with implementation teams to ensure client expectations are achieved
About you
- Prior experience in a remote or hybrid sales position at a corporate level is required
- Comfortable working in a business development role that has a partial performance-based compensation plan
- Extensive experience in the business travel industry preferred, with a successful networking history
- Proven ability to establish and maintain rapport with all levels of management, modify communication style for customers, and manage ongoing client relationships
- Adept at setting priorities, establishing goals and plans, and managing workload
- Excellent communication skills: oral, written, and presentation in English
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically
- In tune with competitor activity, industry trends and product developments
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Salesforce, or similar CRM program skillset, preferred
