As our London business continues to grow, we are seeking an entry‑level Construction Planner to support a major commercial fit‑out project from inception through to handover.
About the Role
As a Junior Planner, you will work collaboratively with a Senior Planner, supporting construction sequencing, programme updates and short‑term planning, receiving structured training and mentoring throughout your development.
This role is ideally suited to a recent graduate or someone in the early stages of their career who is eager to learn, develop and build a long‑term future in construction planning.

Key Responsibilities
Basic Programme Understanding
- Awareness of construction sequencing (MEP, finishes)
- Understanding the purpose of master programmes and look‑ahead schedules
Programme Updates
- Assisting with weekly/monthly progress updates
- Recording actual start/finish dates and % complete
Short‑Term Planning
- Supporting 4‑week look‑ahead programmes
- Helping identify upcoming constraints and clashes
Planning Software (Working Knowledge or training Level)
- Asta Powerproject or MS Project (basic task updates, not full build)
- Updating trackers, progress logs, and simple reports
- Comfortable with formulas, filtering, and basic pivot tables
Document Awareness
- Understanding drawings, schedules, and site documentation
- Linking planning activities to latest information
Working with Site Teams
- Shadowing Site Managers and Engineers to gather progress information
- Attending site meetings and planning updates
Subcontractor Interaction
- Collecting programme inputs from trades under supervision
- Recording constraints such as access, materials, or approvals
Health, Safety & Compliance Awareness
- Basic understanding of construction H&S requirements
- Awareness of inspections, permits, and key safety milestones
- Following site rules and procedures at all times
