Main purpose of the role: Within this role, you will be working as a part of Yard Operations Team, leading the daily operations of the yard team. The yard and halls activities will be predominantly undertaken outdoors, this means that you will spend a significant proportion of your time exposed to all weather conditions throughout the year.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Yard Operatives across a busy site
- Store and park all vehicles on site within the fleet yard, via agreed valet/wash services, so that vehicles enter and leave the site in accordance with the daily program
- Barcode all new vehicles on arrival and tag keys
- Log and remove any valuable items left in vehicle
- Be responsible for jump starting vehicles when needed (training provided)
- Politely refer any issues, queries, or complaints to the relevant manager
- Undertake any other tasks in the yard department to ensure that operational requirements are met within the agreed deadlines
Skills and expertise:
- Previous experience as a Team Leader
- Full UK Driving Licence – you need to be comfortable to drive manual and automatic cars
- You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in your work, to the highest standards of work set by customers
- You will need the ability to work independently and as a part of the team
- Excellent attention to detail
