Main purpose of the role:
Are you detail-oriented with an interest in cars? Looking to start or grow a career in the automotive industry? We’re hiring a Vehicle Assessor to join BCA. You’ll play a key role in inspecting and recording the condition of vehicles as they enter our site, ensuring they are ready for sale through our online platform. Using our mobile inspection app, you’ll complete accurate, consistent vehicle reports—helping deliver a smooth, “right first time” experience for our customers.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Booking in vehicles, logging mileage and key details
- Checking and verifying vehicle documentation
- Identifying any damage, including transit-related issues
- Recording and securing loose items found in vehicles
- Recommending and ordering standard and enhancement services
- Using handheld technology and mobile apps daily
- Working safely in a busy yard environment
- Supporting wider site operations when required
To be successful, you’ll bring the following with you:
- Full UK Driving Licence and able to drive both manual and automatic cars (essential)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Interest in cars or the automotive industry
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Good IT skills (mobile apps, handheld devices)
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Previous automotive experience (desirable, not essential)
