Main Purpose of The Role
We are looking for a dynamic, results‑driven Commercial Manager to join our regional BCA Partner Finance team, covering from Lincoln to North Wales and Scotland. In this pivotal role, you will be overseeing revenue generation, customer relationships, and the growth of large dealer accounts within your assigned region. Your main focus will be on acquiring new accounts, growing the existing dealer base, and coaching your team to achieve their targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and promote BCA Partner Finance to prospective new large dealer clients
- Account Management of existing large dealers, maintaining relationships to ensure retention and growth of existing accounts whilst seeking opportunities for growth
- Cross‑selling BCA products and services and assisting with the delivery of any new BCA Partner Finance products or services
- Managing an increased portfolio of large dealers to maintain a high level of service and to make sure those dealers are following the companies (BCA’s) standards and guidelines
- Develop strong internal BCA relationships to ensure our business partner/relationships deliver the correct level into the business
- Sales reporting including weekly Pipeline and Activity Reports
- Attend conferences, training courses and sales meetings at any location within the region or UK with prior notice
- Ensure sales targets within your dedicated region are achieved to the KPIs
- Risk Management: Manage, and/or elevate any identified risks in relation to BCA Partner Finance internal risk policies and external regulations
- Work closely and effectively with all departments within BCA Partner Finance, and all areas of the larger BCA business
Knowledge and Experience required
- Self‑motivated individual with good commercial skills
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence and present effectively to board‑level stakeholders, clients, and internal teams
- In‑depth knowledge of the automotive industry, with particular experience in used vehicle retail sales
- Strong understanding of vehicle stock funding, ideally with knowledge of auction processes
- Proven ability to develop business relationships and drive growth through effective sales strategies
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to analyse and interpret financial information, such as company accounts and sales projections
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to assess risk and implement effective action plans
Desired Experience
- Experience working for a stock funding competitor
- Background in the motor trade industry (sales/aftersales/management)
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and success in managing high‑performing teams
