We’re looking for a motivated, strong leader who is passionate about delivering a top level service for our customers. Our Site Operations and Driving teams play a vital role across our business. Here you can develop your skills but also bring with you a strong mentality and drive the site forward.
Main purpose of the job:
To lead the day-to-day operations of BCA Enfield vehicle remarketing centre, processing in excess of 55,000 cars and LCVs per year.
You will be responsible for all departments including Yard operations and on-site logistics, Aftersales covering all buyer interactions on the premises plus post sale disputes, Production completing all products and services, maximising stock churn and sales performance, and Workshop which includes both cosmetic and mechanical enhancement.
You will ensure that budgetary, business & people targets are met while adhering to all Company and legal standards.
Main responsibilities:
- Full People leadership of the departmental managers and team leaders, ensuring a culture of self-improvement, training, teamwork, coaching, mentoring and succession planning to maintain the highest level of staff engagement at all levels of the 56 FTE staff headcount.
- Be consistent with BCA Values to guarantee market leading operational excellence and best in class customer experience (for sellers and buyers).
- Ensure uniformed processing of vehicles to a market leading standard, making certain they are delivered within timeframes specified by the business.
- Working in collaboration with other departments, divisions and group companies, to drive efficiency and process standardisation including use of new technology.
- Accountable for safety, wellbeing and legal compliance of all staff, suppliers and customers onsite.
- Revenue and cost control.
There will be some travelling required to attend meetings and training courses which may include some overnight stays away from home. In addition, longer stays away may be required to cover operational needs within the business.
Knowledge and Experience required
Essential:
- Operational Management
- Ability to monitor, forecast, budget and identify financial trends so that appropriate corrective action is taken when necessary.
- Articulate, with the ability to communicate effectively in all and any scenarios whether in person of via other forms of media
- Ability to understand and resolve complex problems at root cause.
- People & Team Leadership experience
- Have a focussed mind-set of service improvement
- Strong IT skills and data literacy
Preferable:
- Experience of process and continuous improvement systems (Six Sigma / Lean etc)
- A full UK driving licence as you will be required to travel at times
