About The Role
Location: BCA Livingston
Shift: Monday to Friday 45 hours per week
Salary: £22 per hour / 51,621.00 per annum
Type of Employment: Permanent
Main purpose of the role: We're looking for an experienced Level 3 Vehicle Technician with hands-on experience working on Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) vehicles. You’ll work alongside our established team of JLR Technicians, gaining exposure to a wide range of models and systems. We will ensure you complete all relevant JLR training and qualifications, giving you a clear pathway to progress your technical level and diagnostic capability.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support basic diagnostic investigations using JLR systems such as TOPIx (experience preferred, training provided)
- Complete routine servicing, component replacements, and repair validation
- Follow JLR repair methods and internal safety procedures
- Maintain accurate repair documentation and ensure all work meets quality expectations
- Work collaboratively with the JLR Technician team, escalating complex faults where required
- Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs on JLR vehicles to high workshop standards
- Contribute to workshop efficiency, continuous improvement, and safe working practices
Personal Requirements:
- Strong mechanical and electrical repair capability
- Some familiarity with TOPIx or other diagnostic platforms (preferred)
- Methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Commitment to ongoing development - full JLR training pathway provided
- Practical experience working on JLR vehicles (no formal qualifications required)
- Full UK Driving Licence (manual & automatic), minimum 2 years' experience
