Main Purpose of The Role:
We are looking for a Workstream Lead – Record to Report & Plan to Perform to join our Finance Transformation team on an 18-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Head of Finance Transformation, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of the British Car Auctions Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementation. Acting as the business lead for the Record to Report and Plan to Perform workstreams, you will work closely with Finance stakeholders, technology teams, implementation partners, and fellow workstream leads to ensure business requirements are translated into effective ERP solutions. You will be responsible for driving best practice, embedding robust controls, and ensuring successful adoption of new finance processes and systems across the organisation. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Record to Report and Plan to Perform workstream activities and deliverables throughout all project phases, including vision, validate, construct, test, deploy, hypercare, and transition to BAU.
- Collaborate with workstream leads, subject matter experts, implementation partners, and other workstream leads to gather business requirements and validate solution design.
- Support Record to Report and Plan to Perform Finance data mapping & reconciliation, chart of accounts definition, reporting requirement definition, understanding Finance reporting needs and how that will be delivered via D365 F&O and test script scenario inputs to the project.
- Support Finance UAT of processes together with process owners, support defect rectification and business cutover readiness.
- Support data mapping, data reconciliation activities, chart of accounts design, reporting requirements definition, and finance reporting delivery through D365 F&O.
- Provide input into testing activities, support user acceptance testing, defect resolution, and business readiness for cutover.
- Lead change management activities for the workstream, including role mapping, organisational design, training support, process documentation, and end-user adoption.
- Support project governance, risk management, business case updates, and PMO requirements, ensuring deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.
- Work collaboratively across all project workstreams to ensure end-to-end process alignment and successful solution delivery.
- Support the resolution of complex cross-functional issues and contribute to wider Finance Transformation activities as required.
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Strong hands-on functional experience of end-to-end finance processes (R2R, Plan to Perform (FP&A), Inventory, Costing, Data, Reporting and Controls).
- Experience in business process and solution design, understanding and translating business requirements, and championing process improvement & best practice adoption.
- Experience with testing cycles, data migration, and cross‑functional dependencies.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in ERP implementation workstreams (preferably Dynamics 365 F&O).
- Experience working in high volume transactional environments (especially an auction environment).
- Familiarity with Power BI, Power Automate, or broader Microsoft ecosystem.
