Windsor Forest Colleges group is looking for a Study Skills Officer to join our Student Services team on a Permanent, Term Time Only basis. Working across both Strode’s College and Windsor College Campuses, the role pays between G17 £12,059.34 and G19 £12,911.63, dependant on experience and qualifications. The Study Skills Officer at Windsor & Strode’s Colleges is a part-time role working 20 hours per week during term time, 39 weeks per year. This position falls under the Student Services Department and reports to the Curriculum Administration Support Manager.

Responsibilities

  • The role is aimed at enhancing students’ independent learning capabilities.
  • The chosen candidate will develop and deliver programmes of workshops and personalised interventions addressing study skills from basic literacy to higher‑education preparation skills such as research and essay writing.
  • The Officer will collaborate closely with curriculum and tutorial teams to identify students needing extra support, integrate external experts, promote study‑skills services, ensure availability of up‑to‑date support materials, and manage tracking and evaluation of services to align with departmental targets and college priorities.
  • The role also involves direct interaction with students and staff, managing learner behaviour, contributing to community‑building activities, handling some administrative duties, and being flexible to work additional hours during college events.
