The Windsor Forest Colleges group is looking for a Teacher of Science to join our Strode’s College team on a part-time, permanent basis working 21 hours a week on a 0.56 FTE. The role pays from T1 £17,953.86 to T11 £25,734.08 (T1 £31,633 up to T11 £45,341 Fulltime Equivalent) which will be dependent on experience and qualifications. Please note the expected start date for this role is Wednesday, 19th August 2026.
You will be a key member of the Science department, taking responsibility for the effective delivery of a teaching programme at A-Level across one or more scientific disciplines. You will ensure high-quality student learning through the most effective use of College resources, supporting learners as they progress toward successful and value-added outcomes.
You will be responsible for the design and implementation of effective teaching and learning strategies, ensuring that curriculum development and A-Level assessment requirements are consistently met. You will maintain accurate data, including progress reports and examination results, using this information to continuously improve student retention and achievement.
We are looking for someone who can lead and inspire students, supporting their personal development through the organisation of enrichment activities such as STEM clubs, practical investigations, and fieldwork, alongside providing strong pastoral support. You will work effectively within your team to develop and maintain engaging teaching strategies that promote curiosity, resilience, and a positive learning environment.
We seek someone who holds an appropriate Degree in a scientific discipline and a recognised teaching qualification, with significant experience in delivering A-Level Science courses. You will be passionate about developing a high-performing culture, building links with industry, research organisations, and higher education, while maintaining a strong commitment to the College’s core values of equality, safeguarding, and professional excellence.
