Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for an Animal Management Lecturer to join our Berkshire College of Agriculture team on a full-time basis. This is a fixed term role working starting 12th August 2026 until 9th July 2027. The role pays from T1 £31,633 up to T11 £45,341 dependent on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a diverse range of practical and theoretical subjects, including animal behaviour, biology & animal health, breeding and genetics, animal training predominantly at L3 T-level & BTEC.
  • Teach and assess with various awarding bodies such as BTEC and City and Guilds.
  • Provide course tutorship, supporting students throughout their college journey and into employment or further studies.
  • Engage with a broad range of learners, ensuring inclusivity and creativity in teaching.

Qualifications and experience

  • Degree in a relevant subject area such as Animal Behaviour & Welfare and Zoology; experience working directly with a range of animals in industry.
  • Teaching qualification preferred; qualifications in assessing learning and internal verification advantageous.
  • Experience teaching at L3 T-level and BTEC and with further education learners.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and resourceful skills.
