Overview

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a Learning Support Assistant – Foundation to join our Foundation Department at BCA on a part-time, term-time only basis.

The position involves enabling students to access the curriculum as fully as possible, supporting them to work towards their desired outcomes, and helping them achieve their learning goals and potential.

Working hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, and 8:30 am to 4:30 pm on Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction and supervision of the Curriculum Director, Programme Manager and lecturers to assist with teaching, learning and associated activities in accordance with college policies, procedures and individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
  • Support whole classes, work with individuals and small groups of learners.
  • Assist with planning, delivery and evaluation of learning activities.
  • Work closely with pastoral and welfare staff to support students in overcoming learning, physical or emotional barriers.
