This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant within the Carried Interest Team, based in St Peter Port, Guernsey. The successful candidate will play a key role in the calculation, administration, and reporting of carried interest and co-investment plans across BC Partners' fund structures. This is a varied role offering broad exposure to the mechanics of private equity remuneration structures, an area few newly qualified accountants get to specialise in.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and reviewing management accounts, financial statements and cash flow analyses for a range of carry and co-investment vehicles.
- Maintaining accurate books and records for multiple limited partnerships and related entities.
- Calculating carried interest allocations and distributions, and generating periodic investor payment schedules and reports.
- Supporting tax and regulatory compliance processes, including assisting with information reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Assisting with year-end audits, liaising with auditors, fund administrators and other external service providers.
- Responding to queries from carry participants and supporting investor data and document management.
- Contributing to process improvements as the team expands its in-house capabilities.
The role would suit a newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) looking to build a specialism in private equity, with strong attention to detail, good Excel skills, and the confidence to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications:
- Newly qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent), ideally with audit or financial reporting experience.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with financial data and reports.
- Experience with financial software, data analysis tools, and investment tracking systems.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with team members, investors, and stakeholders.
- Experience in the private equity or investment management industry is a plus.
