Our Structured Finance UK team, based in Project Finance London, is dedicated to the end-to-end origination and execution of complex, high-impact financing transactions. We specialize in assessing project feasibility, managing intricate risk profiles, and coordinating comprehensive due diligence processes to structure successful financial solutions for landmark projects. About the job: Are you looking to kickstart your career in Structured Finance? Join our Project Finance UK team in London. You will closely support the team in their daily activities, helping to originate and execute project finance transactions while gaining unique exposure to how a major Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) business operates from the inside.

What You Will Do

  • Project Analysis Support: Assist the team in analyzing project feasibility and risks, helping to identify key issues and brainstorming potential improvements to achieve successful financing.
  • Financial Modeling Assistance: Support the team in the development and maintenance of Excel models used to evaluate the financial feasibility of various projects.
  • Documentation & Due Diligence: Help coordinate the necessary due diligence reports (legal, commercial, tax, technical, etc.) and assist in drafting and organizing financing documentation and contracts.
  • Presentation & Meeting Preparation: Support the preparation of Information Memos and Lender Presentations for lead role opportunities, and help coordinate bank meetings.
  • Internal Tools & Collaboration: Aid in managing internal desk tools (related to rating, profitability, and back-office tasks) and collaborate with internal departments to help facilitate the origination and signing of projects.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: Recent Graduate (or currently looking for a placement/gap year) with a Business School/University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a STEM/Quantitative degree (like Math or Physics) with some exposure to finance.
  • Languages: English is mandatory. Spanish language skills are highly valued.
  • Key Competencies: Highly structured and organized with strong analytical skills. A well-balanced team player with an international mindset, a strong client focus, and a goal-oriented attitude driven by initiative. We value lateral thinkers who like to come up with outside-the-box solutions.
  • Tech Savvy: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Knowledge of FactSet is highly valued.
  • Mindset: A strong desire to learn through active participation, great attention to detail, and a proactive attitude to assist the desk in day-to-day tasks.
