The BBVA Global Markets eCommerce team is seeking a candidate with ANVIL experience or equivalent expertise in supporting Repo and Security Finance products. The individual will be partnering with and supporting trading, sales and clients directly on all aspects of electronic trading. This includes, but is not limited to client support, technical support, automated pricing definition, project management, change management, BAU administration, as well as a range of other activities supporting the Global Markets business as a whole.
The individual must have excellent communication and organisational skills and be comfortable on a trade floor in order to successfully deliver in a high stress environment.
Requirements
- Expertise using and supporting ANVIL (equivalent system expertise will also be valuable).
- Deep understanding of Repo and Security Finance products.
- Pricing and auto negotiation rules.
- Proficiency in trading life cycle from front to back and straight through processing (STP).
- Ensure stability across the bank’s eCommerce environment, liaising with IT resources to correct any faults, issues or questions.
Qualifications
- Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Finance or related fields.
Experience Required
- 5+ years’ experience working in repo eTrading environment.
- Experience supporting electronic repo trading.
- Knowledge of eTrading workflows (RFQ, API connectivity to Venues etc.).
- Functional experience of repo markets (Tradeweb, GLMX, BrokerTec, Eurex, Dealerweb).
- In-depth knowledge of ANVIL or related system.
- Experience gathering user requirements, UAT setup & testing, Production deployment and support.
Soft Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate with trading and sales teams on a trade floor.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise issues, requests and projects from trading, sales and clients simultaneously.
- Organised individual with previous experience working in geographically distributed teams.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
- Good Fixed Income products & markets knowledge.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Knowledge of programming concepts.
- Previous experience with repo and security finance electronic trading systems.
