QIS is a fast-growing business part of the Investment Solutions unit within Global Markets focusing on the design, manufacturing, and distribution of rule-based multi-asset strategies. BBVA QIS offers clients a wide range of investment alternatives leveraging BBVA's powerful data-driven skills and expertise.
Within the QIS business, the QIS Equity & Solutions team's mandate is to grow the equity offering, develop new trading solutions, and execute innovative QIS transactions.
About the job:
- Work on the design and development of systematic equity investment strategies including factor-based risk premia, long short, and volatility managed solutions.
- Conduct quantitative analysis and backtesting to validate strategy performance, robustness, and implementation constraints.
- Respond to client requests providing analytics, bespoke strategy proposals, and product updates.
- Prepare commercial materials including product presentations, marketing decks, and performance analytics for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor index performance, exposures, and risk metrics highlighting anomalies or recalibration needs.
- Use programming and data tools e.g. Python to automate workflows and improve strategy development efficiency.
- Stay informed on market trends and regulations affecting systematic strategies and structured products.
We are looking for:
- Talented professional with 3 to 5 years of experience in financial derivatives and good knowledge of equity markets.
- Strong quantitative academic background.
- Proficient in Python for data analysis and automation.
- Advanced level of Excel.
- Native or bilingual English. Other languages will be valued.
