About the job: Are you looking to kickstart your career in Corporate & Investment Banking and Financial Institutions? Join our Global Institutional Business (GIB) UK team. You will closely support Senior Bankers in their daily activities, helping to promote BBVA CIB's tailor-made financial solutions and services while building relationships with major Banks, Asset Managers & Insurers established in the UK. You will gain unique exposure to how a premier Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) business operates from the inside.
What You Will Do
- Client & Presentation Support: Assist in preparing and coordinating pitches for FIG (Financial Institutions Group) clients on various subjects, and help draft client notes ahead of meetings to brief the bankers.
- Financial & Credit Analysis: Support the team with the financial analysis of covered clients and assist in preparing credit requests and calculating deal profitability for committee presentations.
- Market & Sector Intelligence: Help with punctual sector-based analysis and the weekly review of sector news, while assisting senior bankers with business intelligence in the normal course of business.
- Commercial Monitoring & Collaboration: Support the monitoring of day-to-day commercial activity and pipelines through Salesforce (Visits, Pipeline, etc.) and help maintain smooth interaction with product teams based in both the UK and Madrid (DCM, Global Markets, Lending, Transaction Banking, etc.).
What We Are Looking For
- Education: Recent Graduate (or currently looking for a placement/gap year) with a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or Engineering from a top Business or Engineering school (or equivalent). A clear career focus on Finance is required.
- Languages: Fluent English (C2 level) is mandatory. Spanish language skills are highly valued (valorable).
- Key Competencies: Strong financial background, high analytical capabilities, good communication skills, and a great team spirit.
- Tech Savvy: Good command of office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
- Mindset: Enthusiasm, curiosity, flexibility, and a proactive attitude with the drive to learn and progressively gain autonomy on specific support tasks.
