Our Global Transaction Banking (GTB) UK team, located in Canary Wharf, London, operates within the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division. The team focuses on Trade Finance and Working Capital solutions. We specialize in managing critical financial instruments that facilitate global commerce, such as Letters of Credit (LCs), guarantees, standby LCs (SBLCs), and supply chain finance. By closely assessing risk and evaluating essential financial metrics like Rorc and RWA, the team ensures optimal transaction performance, structured asset mobilization, and strategic business tracking for our UK and Distribution clients.

About the job: Are you looking to kickstart your career in Corporate Banking and International Trade? Join our Global Transaction Banking (GTB) UK team. You will closely support the team in their daily activities, helping to facilitate key trade finance solutions while gaining unique exposure to how a major Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) business operates from the inside.

What You Will Do

  • Client & Presentation Support: Assist the GTB and Distribution teams with preparing client presentations and conducting sector or product development analysis.
  • Risk Analysis Assistance: Support the team in preparing risk proposals (RAR) and learning how to conduct transaction, workflow, and client analysis.
  • Reporting Collaboration: Help with business tracking and reporting to ensure correct day-to-day operations and smooth desk management.
  • Committee Preparation: Assist in organizing and preparing relevant documentation and paperwork linked to business committees.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: Recent Graduate (or currently looking for a placement/gap year) with a clear career focus on Finance, Trade Finance, or Working Capital.
  • Languages: English is mandatory. Spanish language skills are highly valued.
  • Key Competencies: Advanced knowledge of finance, a good initial understanding of banking products, and a strong team spirit.
  • Tech Savvy: Good command of Google Workspace tools, specifically Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
  • Mindset: A strong desire to learn through active participation, great attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.

What You Will Gain
