BBVA Corporate & Investment Banking is expanding its Global Liability Management Advisory team and we’re looking for a senior hire to help drive our growth in the US market, with exposure to Latin America. This is a high-impact opportunity to join a growing, globally connected advisory platform at the center of capital structure optimization, working with leading corporates, sovereigns and financial institutions on complex, high-profile transactions.

What you’ll do:

  • Originate and lead execution of liability management mandates
  • Advise clients on refinancing, capital structure optimization, and bond strategies
  • Partner across Coverage, DCM, and other product teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Build and oversee advanced financial models and transaction analytics
  • Significant focus on building trusted advisor relationships with both existing clients and prospects
  • Mentor junior team members and help shape the platform’s growth

What we’re looking for:

  • 7–10+ years of experience in Liability Management, Debt Advisory, or DCM
  • Strong track record in the US market, with exposure to LatAm
  • Deep understanding of fixed income products, funding strategies, Accounting (US GAAP and IFRS) and capital structures
  • Advanced financial modelling skills and strong analytical mindset
  • Client-facing experience with proven ability to originate and execute transactions
  • Fluency in English required; Spanish is a strong plus
  • SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 licenses

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $240,000 to $315,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
