The candidate is responsible for developing new Japanese client relationships and expanding business from our existing Global Japanese names operating in Europe, including the UK and Spain. The candidate needs to coordinate with Global Bankers based in Japan as well as other product partners, credit, and RMs in Europe.
Responsibilities:- Develop new relationships and expand business with Japanese companies operating in Europe by coordinating with global bankers in Japan.
- Communicate with Japanese/local managers and decision-makers of the companies and sell BBVA products in Europe.
- Work closely with the Global Bankers team in Japan.
- Execution of Loan, Trade, and Cash related products by coordinating with the credit support team, legal & compliance, and operations.
- Degree holder in Business.
- Over 15 years relevant experience of dealing with Japanese multi-national corporations.
- Solid knowledge of loan/trade structuring and cash management.
- Experience in Japanese mega banks or other major international banks.
- Native or equivalent in written and spoken Japanese. Desirable to have been brought up in Japan to understand the cultural background.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong customer-oriented mindset.
- Able to work in a matrix reporting structure, multi-functional and cross-cultural environment.
- Able to liaise and organise with various internal departments for identifying opportunities and closing transactions.
- Able to work under pressure.
