About the job:
- Contribute to the update and follow-up of the strategic plan, drawing relevant conclusions for decision-making and proposing corrective actions when necessary.
- Support in the monitoring of the commercial activity and performance of the strategic plan.
- Support in the monitoring and analysis of the sustainable strategy of energy clients, with special focus on Portfolio Alignment, TRI, and engagement plans pursuing new business opportunities while complying with BBVA commitments.
- Conceptualize, define, and develop governance and operational models, including their organizational and operational implications (processes, functions, roles, and responsibilities).
- Structure, synthesize, and communicate proposals, analyses, or conclusions through presentations/documents (storytelling).
- Prepare sector views on specific verticals across geographies, analyse prospects, and work closely with country and product bankers.
- Participate in pitches and client meetings, contributing to the preparation of presentations, strategic analyses, and commercial proposals within the team's business development framework.
- Work closely with different areas of the bank and external stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of strategic initiatives and ensure effective communication.
- Propose and develop initiatives that foster innovation, operational efficiency, and digital transformation within the Group.
Required experience:
- 5-10 years of experience.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Previous experience in projects related to sustainability, risk management, or Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), ensuring a solid understanding of sustainability (Net Zero commitments, BBVA's strategy, portfolio alignment, E&S policies, etc.), the energy industry (trends, pain points, decarbonization levers, client profiles, clean technologies, etc.), and risk frameworks and processes (Transition Risk Indicator, Credit risk models, Asset Allocation, etc.).
- Strong analytical, conceptualization, and synthesis skills, as well as the ability to draft and prepare documents (presentations, manuals, policies, etc.).
- Leadership, autonomy, initiative, proactivity, and teamwork skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace.
