About the job:

Credit GRM UK manages the credit risk for UK Branch. The team is organized by geography. The Area is responsible for the wholesale credit admission, having as main task to preserve the credit quality of the proposals integrating ESG factors to ensure profitable growth.

As part of Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), the area interacts with global markets, global lending & advisory, and transactional businesses for global corporate clients and institutional investors’ requests. In addition, Credit GRM UK has close contact with corporate credit areas of all the geographies the Group works with. At the same time, we are also focusing on some new Mid UK Corporates.

  1. Manage end-to-end processes from pre-screening and admission of individual operations to the extinction of approved risks.
  2. Provide credit analysis and risk advice for Corporate & Investment Banking clients, with special focus, but not limited to, Real Estate companies.
  3. Conduct credit analysis on prospective and existing clients by establishing and managing financial programs, providing a credit rating assessment, and preparing credit proposals.
  4. Monitor the credit risk portfolio by following up on the clients’ financial evolution and credit exposure at all times.
  5. Participate in credit and business committees.
  6. Highlight to the credit committee if there is an event and/or financial position that may materially affect the credit quality of the client and undertake necessary steps and follow-up actions recommended in the Loan Review Committee.
  7. Liaise with both internal/external audits, Internal Control, and all different units linked to the admission and monitoring process.
  8. Assess operations on credit/pricing and ensure minimum RAROEC/RORC threshold requirements.
  9. Work with internal stakeholders for reports to regulators and auditors.
  10. Implementation and control of internal tools: Workflow, Digital PF, Rating tools, etc.
  11. Assist in monitoring policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of credit risk underwriting experience within a corporate or commercial banking environment.
  2. Rating tools knowledge.
  3. Knowledge of UK and Nordic Corporates, Financial sponsors activity and structure, Leverage Finance, and Real Estate.
  4. Comprehension and analysis of financial statements, ratings, profitability, sector guidelines, projections, and ESG-related aspects.
  5. Demonstrable experience and knowledge in Real Estate risk analysis.
  6. Knowledge of different products as well as structures (LBOs, FI, Financial Sponsors, Leverage Finance, etc.).
  7. Data Analysis and Data Driven management.
  8. Fluent in English (C1) and Spanish (desirable).
