Role Overview
The Loan Sales & Trading team member engages with investors to support the distribution of syndicated loans, facilitating both primary and secondary market transactions.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of Non‑Disclosure Agreements, deal documentation and other information to prospective investors by email or e‑data rooms, coordinating with the legal, origination, compliance and portfolio departments.
- Register primary, trading and secondary portfolio purchases and sales using the bank’s accounting software.
- Coordinate with the credit risk department to confirm settlement limits with trading investors.
- Coordinate the signing of transfer documentation with the bank’s and external loan closers teams.
- Verify that investors are KYC‑approved in the bank’s system, requesting necessary documentation when required.
- Provide credit research assistance for the loans trading team as needed.
- Obtain permission from external advisors to disclose due‑diligence reports for secondary sales activity.
- Perform bi‑weekly CRM system extracts with market developments summaries.
- Attend investors presentations, meetings and loan market events with senior colleagues.
- Execute other ad‑hoc tasks supporting the loan sales & trading team, such as end‑of‑year reports, trades and investor databases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with an interest in finance and strong mathematical capabilities; a career focus in finance is preferred but balanced academic studies are acceptable.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Spanish, French or German is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
