About the job:

• Design tailor-made solutions for institutional clients in the UK & Europe, focusing on secured financing and derivative transactions such as asset-based loans, synthetic risk transfer, securitizations, TRS, and repos.
• Coordinate strategically with Trading, Origination, and Distribution teams to enhance BBVA Global Markets\’ product trading and structured product development.
• Evaluate potential transactions, collaborate with legal teams to structure deals, and negotiate documentation.
• Engage with Risk to negotiate operations and credit lines, supporting the team in these discussions.
• Participate in projects related to new IT tools, strategic plans, and regulatory changes.
• Ensure compliance with operational policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Assist in promoting the unit\’s activities to internal and external clients, including procedures, systems, and market positioning.
• Focus on generating recurring income and increasing revenue through origination of Global Markets products within the client portfolio.
• Report performance indicators periodically and as needed to the manager.

We seek a mid- to senior-level candidate (minimum 8 years of experience), with a focus on the UK/European institutional market, working with private credit funds, hedge funds, private equity, asset managers, and alternative asset managers.

The candidate should have a proactive approach, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities, with support from sales and trading colleagues.

Academic background and technical knowledge

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering or related fields preferred.
• Master’s in Finance or equivalent is desirable.
• Certifications like CFA or EFPA are a plus.
• Experience in Global Markets, including Fixed Income, Derivatives, Structured Finance (SPVs), and Securities Financing Transactions (Repos, TRS, etc.).
• Familiarity with systems like Bloomberg, Markit, Murex, Excel is advantageous.

Languages

• Full professional proficiency in English required.
• Spanish is a plus but not mandatory.
