About the job:

The junior Banker will be supporting FIG Coverage Bankers, performing the following tasks (non-exhaustive):

• Financial analysis of client perimeter • Prepare credit requests in order to present financing opportunities to committees / calculation of deal profitability.
• Prepare and coordinate pitches for FIG clients on various subjects.
• Prepare client notes ahead of meetings with the bankers.
• Sector-based analysis and weekly review of sector news.
• Interaction with product teams based in the UK and Madrid (DCM, Global Markets, Lending, Transaction Banking…).
• Assist senior bankers with intelligence in the normal course of business.

Educational Background and specific competencies:

• Finance, Economics, Business or Engineering degree from a top Business or Engineering school (or equivalent).
• Strong financial background, analytical capabilities, team spirit, enthusiasm, curiosity and flexibility.
• Ability to take initiative leading progressively to autonomy on some specific tasks.
• At least 2-3 years of relevant front office experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of the financial industry main trends and drivers.
• Good knowledge of corporate and investment banking products particularly of Global Markets including Debt Capital Markets.
• Good understanding of the main players in the region.
