BBS Recruitment is an independent recruitment agency for the transport and logistics sector, supplying to a variety of clients across the UK. We are currently recruiting HGV Class 2 refuse drivers to work for our client based in Wandsworth.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily refuse and recycling collections.
- Operate machinery and vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Assist with refuse loading duties to support the crew when required.
- Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed.
- Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and in real time.
- Carry out daily vehicle and machinery inspections before and after use.
- Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with members of the public and other road users.
Working Hours
- 2:00pm – 10:00pm, Monday to Friday.
- Some weekend working may be required.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 Licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Driver CPC qualification.
- Willingness to assist with refuse loading duties as part of the team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and reliable.
- Clean driving licence desirable.
