We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to lead and deliver high-quality business analysis across Children’s Services for our client based in Plymouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that analysis is well planned, evidence-based and produces clear, practical outputs that meet organisational needs in a timely, cost-effective and quality-focused manner.
Responsibilities for Business Analyst:
- Lead and deliver business analysis activities across Children’s Services, ensuring work is completed to a high professional standard.
- Plan and manage business analysis assignments from initial scoping through to completion and sign-off.
- Gather, analyse and interpret complex business and operational information to identify issues, trends, requirements and opportunities for improvement.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges and demands.
- Identify, assess and reconcile conflicting information, requirements and stakeholder views to develop clear and practical recommendations.
- Evaluate potential solutions and provide evidence-based recommendations to support effective decision-making.
- Develop clear analysis, reports, presentations and other outputs for a range of audiences.
- Ensure business analysis activities and deliverables comply with relevant organisational, audit, project and programme frameworks.
- Identify and introduce new methods, approaches and tools to improve the quality and effectiveness of business analysis.
- Provide professional guidance, advice and support to Business Analysts, System Development and Analysis Officers, Technical Officers and other colleagues.
- Mentor and support team members, contributing to the development of analytical capability across the service.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the Business Analysis function.
- Produce and interpret high-level performance and data reports to support service planning and improvement.
- Ensure appropriate governance, quality assurance and stakeholder sign-off throughout assigned projects and pieces of work.
- Contribute to the development of Children's Services systems, processes and ways of working.
