Our client, a major company based in Harlow, is looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their team on an ongoing basis.

Both day and night trunking shifts are available.

Key Responsibilities for HGV Class 1 Driver

  • Carry out HGV Class 1 trunking work safely and efficiently.
  • Complete scheduled trunking runs between designated locations.
  • Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly.
  • Ensure all journeys are completed in accordance with company procedures and legal requirements.
  • Complete relevant delivery and vehicle documentation accurately.
  • Comply with drivers' hours, tachograph and road safety regulations.
  • Maintain professional communication with depot staff, customers and other road users.
  • Work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and reliability.

Requirements for HGV Class 1 Driver

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
  • Minimum 6 years' driving experience in the UK.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Maximum of 6 points on your driving licence.
  • Previous HGV Class 1 experience is preferred.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
