BBS Recruitment is an independent recruitment agency for the transport and logistics sector, supplying to a variety of clients across London, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Estates Operative to work for our client in Haringey and surrounding areas.
Role Purpose of Mobile Estate Cleaner: The Mobile Services Operative is responsible for delivering high-quality caretaking and cleaning services across the borough as part of the Mobile Services Team. The role involves both intensive and general cleaning of communal internal and external estate areas. The hired candidate will also be required to collect, transport and dispose of goods, refuse and other items from a variety of locations.
Main Responsibilities Mobile Estate Cleaner:
- Carry out Caretaking and cleaning duties in line with a weekly schedule and instructions from the Estate Services team leader.
- Undertake intensive and general cleaning of communal areas, including walls, doors, stairs, landings, corridors and walkways, ensuring a consistently high standard.
- Remove or make safe graffiti on internal and external surfaces, prioritising racist, sexist and hate graffiti, and report graffiti that cannot be removed.
- Immediately remove hazardous waste from internal and external areas, using safety barriers where required.
- Collect and transport belongings, goods, refuse and other items from offices, stores, sheds, garages, voids and residential properties for storage, use or disposal.
- Carry out salting and gritting of entrances and pathways during icy weather conditions.
- Use specialist equipment when required, such as pressure washers, steam cleaners and extension poles.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties aligned with the overall purpose and grade of the role.
Working hours: 36 hours p/w, Monday to Thursday 08.00am to 16.15pm and Fridays 08.00am to 16.00pm.
Requirements of Mobile Estate Cleaner:
- Full clean UK Driving License.
- Experience with cleaning or caretaking industry.
- Knowledge of repair services.
- Knowledge of cleaning materials, equipment and techniques.
- Ability to use IT systems.
