The Role of a Class 2 Scarab Driver
As an HGV Class 2 Scarab Sweeper Driver, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness of roads and public spaces throughout the borough.
Key Responsibilities for the Class 2 Scarab Driver
- Drive and operate a Scarab Road Sweeper safely and efficiently.
- Clean roads, streets, car parks, and other public areas to a high standard.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
- Ensure collected waste is disposed of safely and in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Complete all relevant paperwork and vehicle records accurately.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and road traffic legislation.
- Deliver a professional and courteous service while representing the client.
Requirements for the Class 2 Scarab Sweeper Driver
- To be considered for this HGV Class 2 Scarab Sweeper Driver position, you must have:
- Valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
- Minimum 1 year's HGV Class 2 driving experience.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- No more than 6 penalty points (No major endorsements).
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- A reliable, flexible, and safety-conscious approach to work.
- Previous Scarab or road sweeper experience is desirable but not essential, as training may be provided.
