As an HGV Class 2 Scarab Sweeper Driver, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness of roads and public spaces throughout the borough.

Key Responsibilities for the Class 2 Scarab Driver

  • Drive and operate a Scarab Road Sweeper safely and efficiently.
  • Clean roads, streets, car parks, and other public areas to a high standard.
  • Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
  • Ensure collected waste is disposed of safely and in accordance with environmental regulations.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork and vehicle records accurately.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and road traffic legislation.
  • Deliver a professional and courteous service while representing the client.

Requirements for the Class 2 Scarab Sweeper Driver

  • To be considered for this HGV Class 2 Scarab Sweeper Driver position, you must have:
  • Valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
  • Minimum 1 year's HGV Class 2 driving experience.
  • Valid Driver CPC qualification.
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
  • No more than 6 penalty points (No major endorsements).
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • A reliable, flexible, and safety-conscious approach to work.
  • Previous Scarab or road sweeper experience is desirable but not essential, as training may be provided.
