We also recruit for Social Care and Public Sector roles. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Support Worker to join our client in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire.
We’re looking for compassionate Support Workers to help people live fulfilling lives. You’ll support individuals to achieve personal goals, develop life skills, and enjoy activities tailored to their needs.
Responsibilities of a Support Worker:
- Support individuals with personal care, medication, appointments, and health needs.
- Promote safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour, following safeguarding policies.
- Encourage community participation, social connections, and inclusion.
- Maintain accurate records including care plans, risk assessments, and daily reports.
- Assist new team members and work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Support a clean, safe, and positive living environment.
- Be flexible and responsive to the changing needs of those you support.
Working hours for Support Worker: Various Shifts Available.
Requirements of a Support Worker:
- Understanding of safeguarding, health, and safety standards.
- Commitment to person-centred care and promoting independence.
- Willingness to complete training, including the Care Certificate within 6 months.
- Experience in a care/support role.
- Level 2 Adult Care qualification or equivalent.
- BSL Level 1 for deaf services.
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability.
