Founder & Director at Curated Partners Ltd / 07586 500502 Job title: Finance Business Partner Location: Bristol (hybrid working possible, minimum 3 days in office) Reporting to: Finance Director The Company: Bristol & Bath Regional Capital (“BBRC”) is a leading, place-based impact investor and asset manager based in Bristol. They invest in real estate, infrastructure and businesses to deliver attractive returns for investors and strong social, economic and environmental outcomes for local communities. What they’re looking for: They’re looking for someone who’s commercially sharp, a natural relationship builder, and keen to make a difference beyond the bottom line. You might have trained as an accountant, built your career in investment or banking, or worked in commercial finance roles. What matters most is your ability to think analytically, get under the skin of a business, and support investment decisions that drive real impact. You’ll play a key role in monitoring and managing BBRC’s existing fund portfolio, including tracking performance, reporting on results, and developing strong relationships with external stakeholders. You’ll also support the process of assessing new impact investments as part of BBRC’s investment readiness work, contributing to financial and impact analysis that informs decisions, without needing to lead or oversee the full process. This would suit someone who: Has experience working with financial models, business plans or investment cases — you’re confident interpreting numbers and making recommendations Is a strong communicator who enjoys building relationships and isn’t afraid to challenge or ask the right questions Might be from a corporate, banking or professional services background, and is now looking to do something more values-led Is curious, hands-on, and comfortable working across a small, collaborative team Enjoys variety, from analysing results to getting out and discussing them with the investee businesses Feels motivated by the idea of supporting projects that deliver social, economic and environmental benefits Key responsibilities will include: Monitoring and Evaluation : Manage BBRC’s portfolio of social investments, tracking financial and impact performance, and producing clear, insightful reports for internal and external stakeholders. Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong working relationships with investee company leadership teams, fund managers, and investors. Represent BBRC at meetings with investee companies and existing investors to strengthen its portfolio management and investor relationships. Investment Readiness Support : Contribute to the assessment of prospective investment opportunities — supporting due diligence, financial and impact analysis, and helping ensure proposals align with BBRC’s strategic priorities.
