We’re working with one of the Historic Landed Estates in prime Central London, whose portfolio covers over 110 acres and comprises a broad mix of properties from residential units to offices, shops, restaurants, hotels, and pubs.
Within their Facilities / Health and Safety Team, they now seek to hire a Senior Health and Safety Manager as follows:
- Initially offered as a 1-year fixed term contract with a high likelihood of an extension or permanent contract thereafter
- Working part home, part office based (3 days office/2 days home) over a 36-hour week Mon-Fri
- Reporting directly to the Head of FM, ensuring current and ongoing compliance with all aspects of H&S legislation (as applicable to the portfolio in its entirety), ensuring implementation of new regulations whilst continually seeking to improve policies and processes in line with guidance and best practice.
- You will hold a recognised Health & Safety Qualification (NEBOSH general certificate etc.) with extensive practical experience/knowledge of the HSW Act 1974, Working at Height Regulations 2005, Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, CDM Regulations 2015, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Fire Safety Act 2022 and Building Safety Act 2022, in addition to undertaking regular CPD and training to remain up to date.
- In addition to reviewing H&S and FRA’s, carrying out H&S Audits and ensuring contractor/works compliance, you will also manage the wider H&S Team in order to drive a behavioural safety culture change.
- Awareness of plant and premises Approved Codes of Practice, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 (or similar management systems), High Rise Buildings
- A Leadership and Management training or qualification would be beneficial
- IT literate (Microsoft Office, H&S systems savvy - CAFM etc.)
The successful Senior Health & Safety Manager can expect a starting salary around £70k with an extensive benefits package that will include pension (10% employer contribution/3 % employee), Health/Dental cover, Life cover, 5 weeks holiday and income protection cover (in the event of sickness).
