Within their Head office in Southend on Sea, they now require an entry level Credit Controller as follows:

  • Working office based in Southend on Sea 9am to 5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch

  • The role is fairly admin heavy, so would best suit a more junior credit controller looking to learn the basics rather than an advanced accounts person looking to progress

  • Recovering outstanding debts at properties within a portfolio

  • Liaising with Leaseholders on a daily basis to chase outstanding debts

  • Handle incoming Leaseholder account queries

  • Scanning and filing all documentation that passes through

  • Assist with legal and credit control administrative duties

  • Liaising with Service Charge debtors, mortgagees, the Court and FTT

  • Processing Letters Before Action

  • Raising and processing cheques

  • Diarising all litigation (Court and FTT) deadlines

  • Drafting Court documents, forms and issuing/lodging items at Court

  • Creating hearing bundles

  • Provide a breakdown debt report to the Legal Manager

The suitable Credit Controller candidate will demonstrate excellent client communication skills, have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, possess strong administrative skills, an ability to work to strict deadlines and handle a large and varied caseload.

You will be used to working in a fast-paced and demanding environment. A high level of attention to detail will be required, as well as able to exercise confidentiality and discretion at all times and previous credit control experience is preferred., * 1
